Mindful Minute: Mindfully Present

Mindful Minute:

Mindfully Present

Living in Fulfilled Enlightenment is a path that requests mindful practice to your presence. Let's bring our attention to the present moment together in our L.I.F.E. Mindful Minute practice.

Mindfulness is the key to living present in our moments of life.

Passing by the moments of our life is what happens when we are distracted and running our mind in directions and places other then where we are in the present moment. Take the time for mindfulness to develop your attention to the present moment.

Here are a few tips and tricks on how to remind yourself to be mindful:

1- Approach your surroundings with curiosity - Curiosity allows us to evaluate and be present to all of the dynamics that make up our fleeting moments of life. Approach with curiosity and leave judgement behind.

2 - Forgive, forgive, forgive - We are human. We are prone to making mistakes. Forgive yourself without judgement and relentless burden. Forgive others by bringing empathy to your thoughts, actions, and behaviors. Forgiveness will give you the ability to make the most of your present moment, to cherish what is and what is not.

3 - Show gratitude and appreciation - We pass through life making assumptions that those who matter most to us already know how much they mean to us. Challenge yourself to be present in the moments with those you love and to share your appreciation for them. I promise you won't regret it and it will give you an opportunity to create deeper connection.

4 - Embrace vulnerability - Vulnerability is the key to connection. Being vulnerable allows others to see past the walls and barriers that we create. Being vulnerable is the greatest strength anyone can have if they embrace it with humility, empathy, and courage.

Use your time wisely by being present first, for it is the only moment you get to experience this moment.

Here are some direction actions and behaviors that you can take and influence to enhance mindfulness in your day-to-day routine:

1 - Leave your phone out of it - What if we took the time to really be in the moment we are in and leave our phone for another moment? When we have our phone apart of our interactions and conversations with those that we love it not only distracts our mind but distracts our interaction and leaves people feeling that they were not worth all of our attention.

2 - Meditate and Breath - We've heard the recommendation a 1,000 times but only because it is so powerful in enhancing our mindfulness and our reflection in order to interact with our lives with our upmost best. Slow your breath and take the time to enhance your experience.

4 - Journaling - Writing is a special form of therapy that is literally at our fingertips. Give yourself intentional time to reflect and to be perfectly honest and non judgemental with your experiences.

5 - Stop Multi-tasking - We live in a world where multi-tasking is easier then not, take the time to do one thing at a time and be 100% in what you are doing. The things that you love are worth giving all of your best efforts and attention.

Use these behaviors in your day-to-day routine and see the difference. Be exactly where you are in the only moment you get to be in this moment.

L.I.F.E.'s Mindful Minute practices serve as a reminder to come to our space to mindfully practice our practice and excel towards a life that we intend to live.
