The Covid-19 pandemic has highlighted our frontline workers and their mental health needs as they continue to work to battle the virus. LIFE's mission is to support these frontline workers always, but we are paying special attention to their heightened needs during this time.
The pandemic has thrust a new group under the "frontline worker" title -our teachers. The needs of their students have grown exponentially and they have continued to adapt to accommodate them through Distance Learning, in-person learning, and hybrid learning too. We wanted to show these special frontline workers some much-needed appreciation and so our November fundraising efforts benefitted the teachers of St. Theresa Catholic School!
With the help of the community participating in the November Sip & Shop, and The Market by Jennifer and Operation Everyone, LIFE was able to provide a delicious lunch to the teachers as well as a handmade bracelet for each!
The bracelets were made with love by several 8th-grade students from St. Theresa's and the jewelry supplies were provided by Christy Alvarado Jewelry in cooperation with Operation Everyone.
In addition to the amazing lunch and gift, LIFE is happy to offer a free session with our Crisis Support Team to our teachers!
