Mission Possible Gala

The Mission Possible Gala is our premier annual fundraising event dedicated to expanding access to mental health resources and resilience training for healthcare professionals, first responders, and students preparing to enter these critical professions.

This event represents a powerful partnership between L.I.F.E. and Stop Our Stigma, united in a shared mission to reduce stigma and increase access to mental health support for those who dedicate their lives to serving others.

Funds raised through the Mission Possible Gala directly support programs that provide education, resilience training, stress management resources, and proactive mental health services for healthcare professionals and first responders facing extraordinary levels of stress and trauma every day. Together, we can ensure that those who care for our communities receive the support they need to thrive.

EMDR Stress Resilience Training for Future First Responders

This innovative pilot program introduces cadets and future first responders to evidence-based techniques inspired by Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR). Designed to enhance stress management, improve focus, and support recovery, the training equips participants with practical skills to navigate the unique challenges of high-pressure careers before they enter the workforce.

By learning proactive resilience strategies early, future first responders can develop healthy coping mechanisms that support both personal wellbeing and professional performance throughout their careers. Our goal is to help prepare the next generation of first responders with practical, evidence-informed tools that strengthen resilience, support mental health, and promote long-term success in the field.

Coherence Advantage with HeartMath

The Coherence Advantage program combines proven resilience-building techniques with innovative biofeedback technology to help individuals create greater emotional balance, mental clarity, and stress resilience.

Based on more than 30 years of published, peer-reviewed research from HeartMath, this program teaches participants how to intentionally shift their emotional and physiological state through breathing and attention-focused techniques that promote nervous system coherence. Participants notice stress responses and emotional triggers, shift into more balanced and resilient states, align thoughts, emotions, and actions, build sustainable resilience skills, and strengthen overall wellbeing and performance. The program also incorporates real-time feedback through HeartMath's emWave® and Inner Balance™ technologies, allowing participants to monitor progress and develop lasting habits that support both personal and professional success.

Group Traumatic Episode Protocol (G-TEP)

Group Traumatic Episode Protocol (G-TEP) is an evidence-informed group adaptation of EMDR designed to help individuals process recent or cumulative stress in a structured, efficient, and confidential setting. This program provides a proactive approach to mental health support, helping participants address stress before it develops into more significant challenges.

G-TEP is particularly valuable for healthcare professionals, first responders, and other high-stress occupations where repeated exposure to difficult situations can contribute to emotional exhaustion, burnout, and compassion fatigue. Unprocessed stress can impact both personal wellbeing and professional effectiveness. G-TEP offers an accessible and supportive way to promote emotional health, improve coping skills, and strengthen resilience. Through a structured group format, participants gain tools to better manage the demands of their profession while supporting long-term mental wellness and overall quality of life.
