Mindful Minute:

Honoring Our Past

Living in Fulfilled Enlightenment is a path that requests mindful practice to your presence. Let's bring our attention to the present moment together in our L.I.F.E. Mindful Minute practice.

The journey of life is a series of lessons. We learn how to ride a bike by skinning our knees and elbows a few times, but in the end we are strolling down the sidewalk with our helmeted head held high.

Relationships play the same role in our life. Some teach us the pain of falling down while others support us in getting up and trying again.

Remember people for the lessons they taught you INSTEAD of the pain you had in learning the lesson.

It is easy to get caught up in the way we experienced another human being and their effect on our life. What is hard to do is to release the emotions we hold that burden us from achieving a new future. Here are some steps to gain power over the lessons learned:

Write it out - Physically write down the lessons you have learned from each relationship that holds meaning or power over your spirit. This allows you to release and appreciate what is and what was.

Be honest and be clear with yourself - It's perfectly human to hold emotion to past relationships. Be honest with where you are today and where you were in the past. Be clear with what you learned from each relationship and be clear with where you are headed next.

Release the bind you have to the past - Some of the hardest lessons we learn in life contribute the greatest to our future. Appreciate relationships for the lessons that they have given you. Release the emotion that binds you to resentment, anger, fear, sadness, etc.

Appreciate those who have contributed to your path and honor your past. Your previous steps were steps needed to reach the next chapter of life.

Honor you lessons.

L.I.F.E.'s Mindful Minute practices serve as a reminder to come to our space to mindfully practice our practice and excel towards a life that we intend to live.
